Kat Eller Murray
Principal and Founder

Kat is a public relations professional with experience in corporate and technology communications. She also has extensive experience developing philanthropic campaigns for youth and teens.

Prior to founding ROAM Communications, Kat worked as a manager of global communications and public affairs at Google in Mountain View, California. During her 4 years with the company, she managed product launches and communications strategy for Google Apps and Google+. She also helped launch a group within the communications team, which focused on proactive cross-product consumer media outreach.

Before her time at Google, Kat served as a senior account executive at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications in San Francisco. She spent more than 4 years providing communications support to national and global technology companies of all sizes, including managing speaker and executive communications programs, conducting media relations and securing interviews with top national and regional business and trade media.

Born and raised as a die-hard Sooner in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kat actually began her career at a very young age. At age 11, she launched Lemon-Aid, an annual city-wide Labor Day weekend venture, where kids across Tulsa donated their time to sell lemonade and all money raised went directly to benefit the children and families at the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. Over a 7-year period, with the help of more than 10,000 youth volunteers, Lemon-Aid raised more than $350,000. As a result of this philanthropic work, she received the National Caring Institute Award and the inaugural Prudential Spirit of Community Award.

Kat graduated summa cum laude from Emory University, where she became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity and rowed on the varsity crew team. She previously served on the board of directors for America's Charities and the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless (youngest ever member) and continues to be an ambassador for the Heart of America Foundation. In early 2016, she became the first recipient of the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless' Heart of Henry Youth Philanthropy Award, which will now be known as the Katie Eller Youth Philanthropy Award.

In early 2019, Kat relaunched Lemon-Aid as The Lemon-Aid Project, a California-based nonprofit that creates fun and engaging community activities for all ages while raising funds and awareness for children- and family-related charities with the community. The Project raised more than $15,000 as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.
