Kat Eller Murray founded ROAM Communications in 2013 and still runs it as the sole full-time principal. No agency layers, no junior staff learning on your account. Just Kat and a curated network of senior communications specialists she brings in by need.

She works with tech founders and marketing leaders on the big moments: company and product launches, leadership changes, fundraises, and rapid team growth. The work is communications strategy, executive visibility, and the preparation that lets a team move with confidence when the timing is right.

Twenty years in, more than 13 of them spent inside startups, Kat has supported close to 100 companies. The number she watches is a different one. Nine clients have come back to hire ROAM again at a new venture, and close to two dozen have extended or expanded what they started. ROAM is a two-time Inc. Power Partner Award winner, the only Oklahoma company on the 2025 list, and a WBENC-certified Women's Business Enterprise.

Before ROAM, Kat managed global communications and public affairs at Google, running launches and strategy for Google Apps and Google+. Earlier she was a senior account executive at Fleishman-Hillard in San Francisco. She graduated summa cum laude from Emory, where she rowed varsity crew and joined Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Kat is a native Oklahoman who came home to Tulsa, where she lives with her husband Bryce and their family. She serves on the i2E Board of Directors, the City of Tulsa Human Rights Commission as a mayoral appointee, and the Riverfield Country Day School Board of Trustees as recording secretary. She is co-founder and a board member of The Lemon-Aid Project, a youth entrepreneurship charity that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars since the 1990s.
